Amazing Stop Motion With Post-it Notes
A few years ago I got very interested in stop motion filming after seeing some amazing videos that took months to create. Around this time I made a short clip myself for a project in first year and I learned that there is a lot more work and planning involved than meets the eye. Obviously this video took a good few full days to capture and probably as long to arrange and edit. It shows how we can trick the eye intro thinking something is moving if we put enough frames together one after the other. It's the exact same principle as early animation except we use our bodies and objects in our environment instead of drawing something with slight differences each page.
I would be interested in trying to create something similar to this but using different subject matter. So many things must be taken into account however - lighting must be constant to keep the illusion and the location must not have too many other things happening as it will quickly become apparent that there are large time differences between each picture.
