Test 03 - Car Timelapse 50 mins in 2 mins
In the last week or so I had tried to make a few car timelapses but I wasn't sure on how frequent I should set the camera to take a photo. I found that one every 10 seconds didn't work and then that 5 seconds was a bit too much of a gap as well, unless you are on a very straight road/motorway for most of the journey. So yesterday I set out on my way and let it take a photo every 2 seconds. The end was result was 1518 photos but it was a lot smoother. I can't help but feel that 1 every seconds would be the best for this but with each photo at 2mb in size, it wouldn't be long before I would have a good couple of gbs.
Overall I am happy with how this went and I will definitely be including a time lapse similar to this in the final project, more than likely as I travel on a good road and it turns from day to evening to night.
Where's Killinaskully? the video has the same feel as their intro. The cool stuff in your clip is when you approach another vehicle, i.e. you get different rates of change compared with the landscape.
