My first Canon 550d Twixtor Test

Just captured this the other day to see how smooth I could make it look and I am happy enough with the results. Quality is going to be a big issue though.

550d + Twixtor

I may actually be getting a hold of one of these shortly which means I may finally be able to capture what I originally intended. If I can get anything as beautiful as this I will be very happy.

Very Clever Airplane Path Time Lapse

Antenna Space Time Lapse

This gives an amazing look at what happens during the night as our earth revolves in space. If only the cameras/lenses to capture this sort of stuff were easier to get a hold of.

The Perfect Package

This pretty much has it all. A nice progression of time lapses set to very suitable music

Bending The Senses

This has nothing to do with my FYP but may be relevant to my digital media and software systems module. If anything it's just very cool and the level of thought and work that went into this is clearly huge.

Simple But Effective

This just goes to show how you can film the same scene from many different angles to get the most out of one object/location/idea. Its very simple but does the job.

Yesterday I did a test with the spinning monument in front of the main building in UL and it looked great so I may try capture it from many angles like in this video.

Train Timelapse

I really like this clip as it is rare that we get to see a train journey from a head on perspective. Quite simple, but interesting to see what the rail network looks like as well.

Linear Tracking Systems

This equipment looks get. Allows you to achieve smooth panning horizontally, vertically or in a curve. It's not too pricey at $500 for the base model, but still shows that this is a very expensive industry if you want high quality results.

HDR Timelapse

3 photos are taken in very quick succession (normal, under exposed and over exposed) and layered on top of each other to give the HDR effect. I can only imagine it took quite a while to sort everything out and then batch process all the photos. Still, the end result is very unique and quite impressive.

Timescapes: Rapture

This clip features some amazing cinematography. It's a little frustrating that Ireland doesn't have skies like that, then again even if it did the cameras being used are way above me as well. Some good ideas in here though.

Test 06 - More Panning

There was a nice sky today so I captured something I see everyday from my kitchen window but never really pay any attention to. It is safe to say that panning timelapses look a lot cooler than static ones.
