RED with twixtor
I couldn't find much footage shot with RED that was then slowed down further with twixtor. This video was the closest I could get and it shows that it is possible to get some pretty impressive results using the two together.
RED @ 120 fps
Here is a nice little video I found of what the RED one camera can capture. It's max frame rate is 120 fps which is great as there would be a lot less post production trickery needed to get smooth/clean slow motion shots.

Time Manipulation With Twixtor
This music video contains some of the best post production editing I've seen in a long time. The video was filmed at half speed, maybe less, and then it was sped up and slowed down using 'Twixtor' an application allowing you to alter the speed of footage even if it was not filmed at a high frame rate. The quality of editing is very high as we see it keeping in time with the fight scenes keeping in time with the beat of the music consistently throughout.
7d - High Speed vs. Time lapse
7D 2000 fps from Oton Bačar on Vimeo.
This is more an artistic creation than anything else. It somehow combines both super slow motion and time lapse into the one shot. This kind of work takes a lot of post production work, but the results are incredible. It is a very unique clip and is inspirational on so many levels - if not slightly frustrating as it's hard to imagine how long it took to make/how it was made at all.
Hot Air Balloons As You've Never Seen Them
Some of this footage looks completely out of this world. It's so strange to see the how hot air balloons move when played back at this speed - I personally never would have imagined it. It's so chaotic. Wonderful stuff.

High Speed Bees
Olympus i-SPEED TR Test - Various shots of honeybees from Kevin Cook on Vimeo.
This was shot with the same Olympus model as the kitten footage below. Not much needs to be said about the camera but it is an interesting scenario to see bees at such a slowed down speed. It proves that filming nature at work like this can end with some amazing results.
High Speed Kitten
Olympus i-SPEED TR Test - Pouncing Kitten from Kevin Cook on Vimeo.
This incredible footage shows how important lighting is when filming at such high speeds. I was researching Olympus i-SPEED cameras when I found the clip and unfortunately the model that captured this costs around £25,000 meaning it is unlikely I will get my hands on something like this anytime soon, if ever. Nonetheless a very interesting piece of footage.

New York Part 2
This video is produced at a much higher standard than the one I previously posted and also shows exactly the style I am trying to achieve. It uses ambient music really well to help the images make a bigger impact on the viewer. The one thing that is very noticeable about the filming is the quality. The camera seems very high end and it is really clear that this makes a difference between something being average and being great. Some of the camera techniques used are also quite interesting, ie. moving and panning over time. Finally it's worth noting that whatever I create will struggle to be as impressive as something like this, mainly due New York city being so spectacular compared to anywhere I will be filming.
New York, New York
This is roughly the style I am trying to achieve with my final video. It will however need to be edited much better than this and the time lapses themselves need to be smoother and longer. The guy making this was just testing out a few things on a trip to New York so obviously the standard would have to be a lot greater than this.
