GoPro HD- Rotating Time Lapse from Zac Dixon on Vimeo.
I really like this idea. It adds a lot more to a time lapse when it is showing all angles. I will probably try this and throw together some device that will spin slowly and capture a full day in 360 degrees.

Slow Mo Silhouettes
Twixtor Test - 1000fps from NSP on Vimeo.
I really like the color grading in this clip. Very simple and there is no perceivable blur which is very important.

More Super Slow Motion [Water] - 550D from Rickard Bengtsson on Vimeo.
Here we once again see evidence that you don't necessarily need high end gear to get professional looking results. These shots were all filmed at 60 fps and slowed down with twixtor and the results speak for themselves. Now I just need to figure out how long it takes to render stuff like this...

More Go Pro HD
Dunes from Nick Campbell on Vimeo.
I think this video is just wonderful. It is such a simple concept - a continuous piece of unedited footage at half speed with some very mood setting music by Sigur Ros. A wonderful vintage effect was added using After Effects and in the end it is a beautiful clip which captures some friends and their dogs having fun. It sort of makes me want to document my life more by just doing simple things like this with friends and putting it to music. Would be nice to look back on in a few years.
BBC Timelapse Collection

Here is an amazing collection of Time Lapse footage from the BBC archives. Unfortunately not everything is viewable in Ireland but a good few of the videos are.
I find some of this slightly depressing as a lot of the footage is shot with cameras and lens that are way too expensive for the average Joe. Trying to emulate some of these scenes would be almost in possible as they happen over days and weeks but it is still nice to see nature shown in this normally unseeable way.
Go Pro HD does Time Lapse Too!
I think it's now safe to saw that this camera is exactly what I am looking for. It can film time lapses and footage that can turned into super slow motion. This is very promising. The only issue I see is that all shots are very wide angle and can not be adjusted. They do look good but I am not sure how it will work out if every shot is like that.
This video is relatively dull but gets interesting around 1:40 when the transition from day to night starts to occur, something that I will be trying to achieve in my project.
Twixtor Proves Itself Again
This footage is the first I have found to verify that twixtor is definitely the best shortcut to capturing a super slow motion shot.
The camera used is a Go Pro HD which are very affordable cameras usually used to capture extreme spots. They film at 1080p, 60 fps which is the perfect resolution and frame rate to work with afterwards. I am considering buying one as it will be possible to do both slow motion and time lapse filming with it.
On closer inspection you can see obvious blurs in the water, however it is quite a large slow down so I assume a slightly faster playback would result in less of it.
